Despite mixed public and political reactions, In 1984, The United States, Canada, Japan and the European Space Agency(ESA) created the first permanently manned space laboratory, the International Space Station(ISS), which revolutionized the way space agencies understand, research, and explore space. The ISS encouraged post cold war international collaboration and continues to represent the station's revolutions and international good-will.
